Utrecht, 7 July 2021 – MeeMaken, a Dutch investment company, is on a growth journey in the online learning solutions market. The acquisition of Splintt, a specialist in tailor-made digital learning solutions and the creator of Philpaper, a learning distribution system focusing on external workforces, is an important step in Meemaken’s buy-and-build strategy.
Splintt is an important addition to the MeeMaken group’s portfolio, which already includes the companies Infosequre, eWorks, Boon Learning, L3online and MeeMaken Academy. The combined group will be a leading provider of digital learning solutions, with clients in manufacturing, construction, finance, healthcare & wellness, and the public sector. The combined product range will be a one-stop shop for online learning solutions.

Splintt, founded in 2010, develops tailor-made digital learning solutions, such as eLearning modules, online training courses, interactive videos, animations and films. In addition, Splintt has developed Philpaper, a learning platform focused on the end-user which distributes online learning activities. The company serves more than 100 organizations in various market verticals, including manufacturing, construction, finance, healthcare and the public sector. Customers include: ASML, Bouwmaat, BMN, ABP, DAS Rechtsbijstand, Isala Hospital, Medipoint, the National Police and various Ministries.
eWorks, founded in 2018, helps companies to strengthen their safety culture with learning tools and a safety app. The solutions around KAM and SHE&Q include e-learnings (toolboxes), interactive toolbox meetings and a safety app, which aim to increase engagement and encourage safe behavior. eWorks’ 60+ customers come from the maritime, construction and industrial sectors, among others. Customers include: Alcomij, Boels, Dikkerboom, Jumbo Maritime, Spliethoff, Spie and the Vertical Transport Association.
Infosequre has been providing security awareness programs and game-based information security trainings since 1999, enabling organizations to achieve measurable behavioral change through a strong security culture. Organizations from more than 100 countries use Infosequre products. The portfolio consists of various formats, such as e-learning, a VR game, security awareness videos, a phishing simulation tool, a virtual cybersecurity escaperoom and a security awareness scan. BoonLearning is a cloud-based e-learning platform: it is an authoring tool, a learning management system and a responsive e-learning app all in one. At BoonLearning, the learner is the main focus and the BoonLearning e-learning platform was developed with the learner in mind. Learning and teaching should be motivating and inspiring. Technology should be supportive instead of obstructive. BoonLearning was developed by Boon Software, an Amsterdam based software company that has been developing e-learning solutions since 2002. Customers include Rutgers, VBNE (Association of Forest and Nature Resource Owners), eWorks and Hub Creations.
L3online.com was founded in 1994 as “De Cursuswinkel” (the Course Shop), which later changed its name to Prodis. L3online.com is an online platform that offers the most complete and independent range of trainings and educational programs. The platform, which can be customized according to an organization’s own house style, supports organizations and employees in offering, booking and handling internal and external trainings. Besides offering trainings, L3online.com can unburden organizations completely by taking care of the entire process surrounding training. Customers include NXP Semiconductors in The Netherlands and Belgium.
