MeeMaken Energize Event 2024

The 3th edition of the MeeMaken Energize Event is around the corner! Will you attend and raise money through sportive activities with your colleagues this year?

The MeeMaken Energize Event 2024 will take place on Thursday, July 4, from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Ouderkerk a/d Amstel.

During this nice afternoon you can take part in various fun and energetic activities. By taking part in these activities, you will generate energy and raise money for a good cause.

You can make it as sportive as you want! Will you sign up for the 1/8 triathlon, or are you a true cyclist. Taking a nice walk with a group of colleagues or chat away while enjoying the sun as a supporter is possible too of course!

Raise money for various good causes

The MeeMaken Energize Event is an afternoon full of fun and energetic activities. You can choose from several activities that will allow you to generate energy for a more sustainable world and raise money for good and sustainable causes.

You can make it as sporty as you like. From a hike to a real triathlon. Or you can just come along and cheer your colleagues as a supporter!

You can sign up for the table football clinic again this year, so you can polish your skills for the table football tournament! You can also participate in a Clean-up while walking, Supping or Kayaking. You can clean up the environment by picking up garbage while doing the activity.

  • 2:30 p.m.: Start of the event with coffee, tea and fresh juices
  • 3 p.m.: Start of sports activities & table football clinics
  • 5 p.m.: End sports activities
  • 5 p.m.: Start drinks & table football tournament
  • 7 p.m.: End MeeMaken Energize Event 2024

Which activity will you join?

  • Walking | min. 5km | poss. with clean-up | €5/km
  • Running | min. 5km | €7,50/km
  • Cycling | min. 20km | €5/km
  • SUP or Kayak | poss. with clean-up | €25
  • 1/8th Triathlon | €150
    (500m swimming + 20km cycling + 5km running)
  • Table football clinic | €10
  • Table football tournament| min. 1 round | €10
  • NEW: Beach Volleyball | min. 1 round | €25
  • NEW: Jeu de Boules | min. 1 round | €10
  • Supporter | €10

The list of activities shows how much money you can raise with participating in each activity. You can take part in more than one activity. While filling in the registration form, you can sign up for two activities. A schedule will be made after the sign up deadline.

NEW THIS YEAR: Beach Volleyball & Jeu de Boules

We are introducing two new activities during the Energize Event 2024! This year, you can conquer the volleyball field with your colleagues, or rock in a round of Jeu de Boules. Sign up for these new activities! Thursday July 4 is your time to shine!

Attention: if you want to participate in Beach Volleyball, you need to sign up for it using the registration form. You do not need to sign up for Jeu de Boules.

 

Location: Aan de Plas, Oudekerk a/d Amstel

The MeeMaken Energize Event will be held at Aan de Plas in Ouderkerk a/d Amstel, just like last year. Paviljoen Aan de Plas is located in Ouderkerkplas, a former sand extraction pit and an important bird- and walking spot, with some bird-watching places scattered around. The bikers will also bike the famous ‘Ronde Hoep’ route here. A perfect place to charge some energy!

The location is less accessible by public transportation. Discuss with your colleagues if carpooling is a possibility, or use the NS bike to bike from the nearest station!

Building a stronger world together

The MeeMaken Energize Event has been organized with the goal to contribute as much as possible to a sustainable word. This fits with the DNA of our MeeMaken companies. We recognize that respect for society and the environment is a critical success factor. And that’s why, as a group, we continually strive to increase our contribution to a better world and a better society while improving our sustainable goals.

During the Energize Event we will come together to generate energy. You can do this by taking part in various sportive activities that have been organized during the event. We will turn this energy into money for various different charities. You can find which activities we have prepared in the program and how much money each activity is worth. For example, if you participate in a round of Beach Volleyball, MeeMaken will donate €25 in your name. You’re not only contributing to a good cause, but also to a healthier body for yourself!

Nominate a charity

Last year, we have raised the amazing amount of €12.000 together. One of the charities we donate money to is the Gewocha Forest Project of The Hunger Project Netherlands. The other charities that we want to include during the event have not been chosen yet. We would like your input on which charities we should include this year! Do you have a charity that you would like to support during the MeeMaken Energize Event 2024? You can nominate this charity through the registration form while signing up for the event. We will pick 2 or 3 charities from the list of nominations and will split the final raised amount of money between them.
